Inspire the next generation of laboratory medicine professionals
The Seminar Series, brought to you through the efforts of ADLM's Society for Young Clinical Laboratorians (SYCL), connects laboratorians and early-career professionals with colleges and universities to raise awareness of careers in laboratory medicine and diagnostics.
By sharing personal experiences, career journeys, and insights into the profession, volunteers can help students discover the critical role laboratory medicine plays in healthcare while showcasing the many rewarding career opportunities available across the field.
About the Seminar Series
The Seminar Series aims to:
- Increase awareness of laboratory medicine careers among college and university students
- Highlight the impact laboratory professionals have on patient care, research, and innovation
- Introduce students to educational and career pathways within the profession
- Connect students with practicing laboratory professionals and mentors
- Promote involvement in ADLM and SYCL
- Support workforce development and recruitment efforts across the profession
Volunteers are encouraged to engage with their alma mater or other educational institutions through presentations, career discussions, panel events, and other outreach opportunities.
