
Lauren Starbrook, DClinSci, FRCPath
Lauren Starbrook is a consultant Clinical Scientist in the Toxicology department at Black Country Pathology Services. She completed her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology at the University of York before training as a clinical scientist on the NHS Scientist Training Programme, completing her MSc in Clinical Sciences. In 2024 she completed her Doctorate in Clinical Science at the University of Manchester, and obtained fellowship of the Royal College of Pathology.
She now specialises in toxicology and mass spectrometry, with a particular interest in novel psychoactive substances. She chairs the UK Clinical Toxicology Network, and is a member of the London Toxicology Group, and is actively involved in training and education of other clinical scientists and medics.
