With more than 700 exhibitors and 2,200 booths spread across the Pennsylvania Convention Center expo hall, the 2016 AACC Clinical Lab Expo will be a bustle of activity. But it also will be a place right on the exhibit hall floor to take in presentations on the latest lab testing technologies, best practices, and more.
At least 15 Industry Workshop Exhibit Hall Theater presentations will be held over the course of three days—August 2 through August 4—in two theaters on the exhibition hall floor.
In addition to the Industry Workshop Exhibit Hall Theater, several original equipment manufacturers (OEM)—companies that make products that are part of another company’s end product—will provide 20-minute presentations during the OEM Lecture Series on August 2 and 3 in the heart of the Convention Center exhibit hall, Theater 2.
At least 16 more presentations will take place off the show floor in Hotel Industry Workshops at the Marriott Philadelphia Downtown on August 2 and 3.
In all cases—Industry Workshop Exhibit Hall Theater, OEM Lecture Series, and Hotel Industry Workshops—the in vitro diagnostics industry will shine with highly regarded speakers discussing clinical practice issues and showcasing emerging technologies. These free sessions run the gamut from disruptive innovation in laboratory medicine and individualized quality control plans to new frontiers in lipid testing and the world’s smallest polymerase chain reaction machine.
