Want to know more about antipsychotic therapeutic drug management? Biotin? Clinical Lab 2.0? Droplet Digital PCR? Industry Workshops, Hotel Industry Workshops, and Industry Lecture Series at the 70th AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo in Chicago offer a veritable alphabet soup of clinical lab-related topics.
Located on-site at the Expo’s exhibit hall or off-site in hotels, these brief sessions offer a nice change of pace, if you’re looking to take a break from the scientific sessions at the conference.
Most of the workshops will take place on July 31 and August 1, with one industry workshop scheduled for August 2. This year’s agenda will feature 11 industry workshop theaters , nine hotel workshops and seven lecture series theaters. Some things to note: All of the workshops are an hourlong while the lecture series sessions are just 20 minutes each. Some industry workshops may offer CE credits.

Another session on August 1 is a must-attend for those interested in cardiac medicine. Developed in partnership with AACC and on behalf of Abbott, Beckman Coulter, ET Healthcare Inc., Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, Roche Diagnostics, and Siemens Healthineers, the special session will discuss new expert recommendations for the use of cardiac troponin in acute coronary syndromes including their impact to emergency medicine, cardiology, and laboratory medicine, and will offer guidance on using high-sensitivity cardiac troponin assays in clinical practice. An interactive panel discussion will seek to engage the audience on hot topics in cardiac medicine.
Make the most of your time at the Expo by attending some of these special industry-and hotel-sponsored events.
