On May 27th, the Biden Administration released its budget priorities for fiscal year (FY) 2022. In addition to providing a large funding boost for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the budget proposes additional money for public health programs, including a $30 billion prepare for future pandemics as well as $250 million for health emergency preparedness.
The budget also invests in other programs under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) umbrella:
AACC will continue to work with its partners in support of greater congressional investment in the programs and agencies that support labs, healthcare providers, and that help rebuild the nation’s public health infrastructure.
