On March 29th, AACC joined with other healthcare groups in urging Congress to allocate $200 million in fiscal year 2022 for the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) to carry out its essential mission of collecting health data. NCHS gathers information on a wide range of health topics, including chronic disease prevalence and opioid deaths, and is used by federal agencies and lawmakers to make health policy decisions. AACC and the other Friends of NCHS have long supported greater congressional investment in the agency and its important work.
