DeGette Bucshon release discussion draft for Cures 2.1 Legislation

Prior to the start of the 119th session of Congress, Representatives Diana DeGette (D-CO) and now former Representative Larry Bucshon (R-IN) released a discussion draft for “Cures 2.1,” a legislative proposal building on their earlier efforts to accelerate biomedical research and improve patient care. This draft emphasizes the integration of real-world evidence (RWE), enhanced data sharing, to address critical challenges in evidence integration, data standardization, and innovation. If enacted, these efforts could lead to more efficient regulatory pathways, improved access to cutting-edge treatments, and a stronger foundation for data-driven decision-making in healthcare. ADLM is monitoring developments on this proposal and will engage with policymakers as warranted to ensure the laboratory community’s priorities are reflected.
