Ensuring fair access to opportunities, resources, and advancement for all members to contribute, lead, and help advance the laboratory medicine profession.
Why it matters: When barriers are removed, outcomes are improved.
Inclusion
Creating an environment where all individuals feel valued, respected, and empowered to participate.
Why it matters: Inclusive environments lead to better collaboration, stronger ideas, and more impactful outcomes.
Health Equity
Achieving the highest level of health for all people by creating access and removing barriers in laboratory testing.
Why it matters: Laboratory medicine plays a critical role in reducing health disparities and improving outcomes worldwide.
Underrepresented
Groups whose participation in laboratory medicine or leadership roles is lower than their representation in the broader population.
Why it matters: Expanding representation strengthens the profession by bringing a broader range of insights that drive innovative solutions.
Marginalized Populations
Communities that have historically experienced barriers to full participation in healthcare, science, or society.
