Maureen Sampson

Maureen Sampson HeadshotMaureen Sampson, BSMT(ASCP) is a research clinical laboratory scientist in the chemistry service of the department of laboratory medicine at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center.  Ms. Sampson received her B.S. in medical technology from the University of Maryland School of Medicine as well as her ASCP certification in 1988. From 1988-1991 she was a clinical laboratory scientist performing routine bench testing in the chemistry service of the NIH Clinical Center’s department of laboratory medicine. She moved to a research role in 1991 with Dr. Ronald Elin and then began working in that role with Dr. Alan Remaley in 1997. She has over 100 publications with 4530 citations and is a co-inventor on two patents. Her recent specialization includes 9 first author publications featuring a variety of lipid equations and phenotyping criteria with 748 citations.
