Melissa Snyder, PhD

Melissa Snyder, PhD, is co-director of the antibody immunology laboratory at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, with an academic appointment as associate professor of laboratory medicine and pathology. She is board-certified in clinical chemistry by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry. She is currently serving as chair for the division of clinical biochemistry and immunology, within the department of laboratory medicine and pathology at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Snyder’s primary interests are on the clinical application of established and novel diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers in autoimmune diseases. The goal of this work is to better understand how these markers can improve diagnosis of autoimmune diseases, allowing physicians to intervene early in the disease course and obtain prognostic information.
