Xin Yi, PhD, DABCC, FADLM

Xin Yi HeadshotDr. Yi is a board-certified clinical chemist and co-director of clinical chemistry at Houston Methodist Hospital, where she also co-directs the clinical chemistry fellowship program. She holds an appointment as associate professor at Weill Cornell Medical College and is a Fellow of the ADLM Academy. She completed her fellowship training at the University of Chicago and has remained actively engaged in the field through leadership roles in ADLM divisions, local sections, and the North American Chinese Clinical Chemist Association. Dr. Yi serves on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Clinical Pathology, Encyclopedia of Analytical Chemistry, and Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and has guest-edited for the Journal of Clinical Medicine and Cancer Biomarkers. Dr. Yi is passionate about breaking down barriers across laboratory medicine, linking cutting-edge technology, robust diagnostic testing, and real-world clinical application. Her research and clinical work spans high-impact areas including transplant medicine, autoimmune diagnostics, infectious disease testing, and specialized clinical chemistry. In particular, she has been bringing new diagnostics and emerging biomarkers into transplant medicine, empowering more precise clinical decision-making in transplant care.
