She has served as the Scientific Director of Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Laboratories in multiple hospital and academic settings. She is the Past President of the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC) and the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry (which is now known as the Academy of Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine). Her areas of interest include clinical chemistry, point-of-care testing, and quality management.
