Statement from the chair

Read a statement from the chair of the Asia Pacific Working Group, Qing Meng, PhD, MD, DABCC, FADLM.

As the chair of the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM, formerly AACC) Global Lab Quality Initiative (GLQI) Asia-Pacific Working Group, I am excited about our mission and goal to improve global laboratory quality, particularly in developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Our group aims to achieve this by working collaboratively with national societies to deliver education and training in line with ADLM’s vision, mission, and global strategic goals. These include promoting the value of laboratory medicine and fostering scientific advancement internationally, especially in underserved regions of the world.

We believe that the GLQI will have a significant impact on global laboratory quality improvement and harmonization with the ultimate goal of improving patient care and outcomes.

We are committed to making this initiative a success and to working closely with our partners to ensure that it achieves its full potential through collective efforts.
