Dr. Min Yu is a clinical faculty in the department of pathology at Harvard Medical School and serves as the director of point of care testing and point of service laboratories at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and the director at Beth Israel Deaconess Healthcare-Chestnut Hill. Prior to this role, she spent over six years at the University of Kentucky's department of pathology and laboratory medicine, serving as an assistant professor, associate director of clinical chemistry, and director of the clinical toxicology laboratory.
Dr. Min Yu’s professional expertise spans laboratory automation, test utilization, and drug testing for pain management. She is also focused on incorporating AI tools into laboratory medicine to drive biomarker discovery and streamline laboratory workflows. Her work has been published in prestigious peer-reviewed journals and presented at both national and international conferences, reflecting he commitment to advancing the field of laboratory medicine.
Dr. Min Yu is actively participating in various professional societies, including ADLM, NACCCA, ASCP, and CLSI, contributing to initiatives that promote innovation and collaboration within the laboratory medicine community. She currently serves as the program chair and chair-elect of Northeast ADLM, and as the treasurer of NACCCA. Dr. Min Yu is a diplomat of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry and completed a clinical chemistry fellowship at the University of Virginia. She holds a medical degree from Nanjing Medical University in China, a PhD in molecular and environmental toxicology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and MBA in healthcare leadership from the University of Kentucky.
